Cahors

Cahor's delightful, undulating historic centre is easily explored on foot; of special note among various architectural jewels is the lovely, UNESCO-classified Valentré bridge. A rich gastronomic heritage is evident in the town's many reasonably priced restaurants, with the local Cahors wine a must. Cahors also makes the ideal base to explore nearby Rocamadour and the sights of the beautiful Lot and Dordogne valleys. French Travel Service offers rail and hotel holidays to Cahors, encircled by a loop of the River Lot
