A Provencal Adventure

From Nice “le petit train des Pignes” which this year celebrates its 100-year anniversay, journeys through 151 kilometres of valleys, across mountains, explores numerous gorges, visits 50 tunnels and finishes at Digne les Bains having climbed more than 1000 metres.

You will discover from your seat the country roads of the villages of the Southern Alps which offer a truly warm welcome whatever the time of year. A stay here is perfect for lovers of nature and the wide open spaces and those who want to explore this splendid region between mountains and sea. Truly an unique experience for lovers of walking and who enjoy train rides which are a little bit different and those who want to explore “off the beaten track”.
