Benodet

Benodet is your archetypal Breton seaside resort. Not a big place, and located at the mouth of the lovely river Odet (the most beautiful river in France according to Emile Zola); the coast is lovely, with rocky coves and genuine sandy beaches, with a nice corniche for leisurely seaside strolls. Access is by train to Quimper and then SNCF bus although in season there is an excursion ferry service. In a great location by the landing stages for the boat from Quimper and a short walk to the beach.

Probably the best hotel in town, very traditional, with a bar and reputed restaurant with the accent on local produce so seafood much in evidence. The 50 rooms are all ensuite with hairdryers, telephone and TV. Buffet breakfast.
