The first 3 nights are spent at the Hotel Carlton in Annecy, followed by 3 nights at the 3 star Hotel Les Aiglons, almost at the foot of the Aiguille du Midi cable-car ascent to Mont Blanc and less than 10 minutes walk from the many shops, bars and restaurants of the town centre.
Completely renovated in 2008, the style and décor of this excellent modern, chalet-style hotel is traditionally and evocatively Savoyard, with lovely wood carving and polished parquet throughout. Facilities include a popular restaurant serving local specialities, where the buffet breakfast is also served, bar, lounge, heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and Turkish bath. There are 107 rooms, with bath, shower, wc, hairdryer, tv, telephone, minibar and personal safe. All are also with balcony, for the lovely views.
The holiday is on a B&B basis with travel between the two centres included in standard class only. Travel is via Annecy, but the return journey does require an early start to make it home in a day Available between 13 April and 19 December.
